By the accessibility of the Laurea Smart online store, we mean that the digital service can be used with a keyboard without a mouse and with screen reading software. The service has a clear and comprehensible user interface and easy-to-understand content.
The online store was subjected to a quick accessibility audit before the launch of the online store by a third party, the purpose of which was to find the most significant problems hindering the user or preventing use. The audit was performed with NVDA screen reader and Chrome browser. The mobile audit was also implemented quickly, but the problems are focused on the same elements as on the PC.
Experts evaluating the accessibility of a website use the WCAG 2.1 guidelines. In the evaluation, all the individual success criteria of accessibility level A, AA and AAA are reviewed.
In this accessibility report, we state the shortcomings that were already noticed before the publication, and which have not yet been corrected by the time of publication. The actual accessibility audit of the digital service will be carried out during spring 2024. The solution of accessibility problems is part of the further development of the online store.
